Update 12:23pm: The lockdown has been lifted, per Lowell Police
Lowell High School was placed on lockdown this morning, after what is being described as a “swatting call” for an active shooter. The call came in to Lowell Police at 11:49am.
The Police Department quickly finished their work in the building and the school re-opened after a little more than a half-hour.
A similar call caused two Chelmsford Schools, including Chelmsford High, to be placed into what police termed a “hold in place” Monday.

Can you put a date on your news stories? We can’t tell if this news is from today or a year ago, and if it’s relevant anymore.
Good suggestion Sam. The date is listed in the various categories and search bar, if there’s any confusion, and most recent stories are listed to the right of the story page you are on, if that helps in the meantime
So is this today??
