The Butler Middle School is excited to announce their selection as the only school in their respective area to participate in the prestigious Celtics Playbook Initiative.
This unique program is organized in collaboration with Project 351, the Celtics Shamrock Foundation, and New Balance, offering an exceptional opportunity for student development.
The Celtics Playbook Initiative aims to empower young leaders by fostering community engagement and personal growth. Students from participating schools will take part in a series of enriching activities and workshops, led by high school students from Innovation Academy and Holliston High School. The initiative focuses on enhancing skills in teamwork, collaboration, and service-based leadership.
The program will commence with two training workshops. The first workshop will take place at Butler Middle School on January 21, and the second will be hosted in Holliston, MA, at Adams Middle School on February 4th. These workshops will culminate in a Day of Action, where students will apply their newly developed skills to positively impact their communities.
“We are thrilled to be part of the Celtics Playbook Initiative,” said Jaime Moody, Butler Middle School Principal. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to grow as leaders and contribute meaningfully to their community, and we are grateful to the Celtics Shamrock Foundation, New Balance, and Project 351 for making this possible.”
As Community Schools Program Manager for Lowell Public Schools, I’d like to emphasize the importance of cross-sector collaborations in youth development. Creating meaningful partnerships is crucial for empowering the next generation of leaders. The Playbook Initiative exemplifies the positive impact that these efforts can have on our students and the community.
The Celtics Playbook Initiative showcases the benefits of the full-service community school model, providing students with invaluable experiences that foster personal growth, leadership, and a deep commitment to community service. Empowering students while also enriching the entire community by promoting a culture of collaboration and active citizenship.
