Despite hitting a bump in the road at the July 19th School Committee meeting, and with a slight adjustment in the proposed pay, the appointment of Wendy Crocker-Roberge as Lowell’s Interim Schools Officer is all but a done deal.
Sources tell InsideLowell an agreement was reached at a July 26th Executive Session to accept Interim Superintendent Liam Skinner’s appointment of Crocker-Roberge to fill his previous post, albeit at a salary of $160,000 a year instead of the $165,000 originally proposed.
The formal vote to approve the contract has been included on the agenda for the next S.C. meeting, scheduled for this coming Wednesday, August 16th.
Crocker-Roberge has been Principal at the J.G. Pyne Arts Magnet School since July of 2011, after serving for nearly 12-years in the Lawrence Public Schools System. Her new role will have her overseeing all 26 Principals in the Lowell system.
