A coalition of students, faculty, and local businesses have come together to put on a screening of the “Last of the Right Whales” documentary on the campus of UMass Lowell.
The event, scheduled for 6pm Tuesday, November 19 at the O’Leary Library Auditorium, features two guest speakers. Both are professors at UMass Lowell.
The speakers will discuss how human activities impact marine and climate conditions, emphasizing the urgent need for action to protect our environment. They’ll highlight how science education empowers communities to address climate change, equipping students to make a real difference. The speakers will also touch on biodiversity conservation and the importance of protecting vulnerable ecosystems.
The screening also includes a raffle of gift cards to local restaurants.
