The Bucket Brigade is an essential part of the Lowell Folk Festival, responsible for collecting donations from festival-goers. These donations help ensure that the festival remains a free event, accessible to everyone. Volunteers, equipped with buckets and a smile, roam the festival grounds, encouraging attendees to contribute whatever they can.

Volunteer Requirements

Volunteers should be at least 18 years old (those under the age of 16 need adult supervision) and able to walk around the festival grounds for several hours. They should be friendly, approachable, and comfortable engaging with the public. Each volunteer will receive a festival T-shirt and training on how to approach attendees and explain the importance of donations.
