Your Civic Duty

2024 is going to be a busy year for elections. Your participation is crucial in shaping the future as your vote helps determine who will represent our community and the values we hold. Every ballot cast counts toward change and the betterment of our community.

There are three elections coming up in our Commonwealth. First is the Presidential primary election on March 5th. On the ballot, you will see the names of those running for President of the United States, the Party State Committee Man and Woman, and Party Ward/Town Committee. In this election you get a ballot that matches the party you are enrolled in. If you are unenrolled, you can choose a Democratic or a Republican ballot.

Next is September 3rd for the State Primary, in which each party will choose the final candidate for U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative, Governor’s Council, State Senator, State Representative, Register of Deeds, Clerk of Courts, and County Commissioner (in certain counties only).

Lastly, the General Election on November 5th will include candidates for Electors of President and Vice President, U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative, Governor’s Councillor, State Senator, State Representative, Register of Deeds, Clerk of Courts, County Commissioner (in certain counties only), and additional local offices if applicable in your community.

Your vote matters. Your vote determines who is positioned to make important decisions that impact your day-to-day life. Please mark these dates on your calendar and get to know the people running—after all, these people will be our leaders.

Our state is making it more accessible for everyone in our community to vote, including voting by mail, voting early, and going to the polls on Election Day.  If you have not registered to vote yet, DO IT NOW. Follow this link: (https://linktr.ee/tarahong).
