In partnership with 98.5 The Sports Hub, Wellpoint has launched a “Hometown Heroes'” Program to continue honoring first responders, educators, and public workers throughout Massachusetts, including here in the City of Lowell and the surrounding communities.
In every community, there are remarkable individuals whose dedication and selflessness keep the heartbeat of our towns and cities across Massachusetts strong.
Wellpoint’s Hometown Heroes campaign is a heartfelt tribute to the public service employees who, day in and day out, go above and beyond to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of their communities. From the Commonwealth’s dedicated firefighters, police officers and first responders, to the compassionate educators and hard-working transportation teams, these heroes demonstrate unwavering commitment and resilience to serving the greater good.
The InsideLowell audience is well familiar with Wellpoint’s commitment to heroes in our community.
Since October of 2023, the organization has been shining the spotlight on Lowell Public Schools teachers for their exemplary work in the classroom. As part of that Classroom Quarterback feature, Wellpoint awards each month’s honoree a $250 gift card.
In addition, the Wellpoint All-Stars feature highlights many of the men and women who often toil behind the scenes to make the City of Lowell a better place.
