Partnership Helps Humane Society Microchip

Lowell – The Lowell Humane Society is delighted to announce a generous sponsorship from Lazy River Products to purchase new microchip scanners to significantly enhance the Society’s ability to reunite lost pets with their families.

Microchipping is vital in ensuring lost pets are returned to their owners, with data showing that a microchipped pet is twice as likely to be reunited with its family as those without a chip.

Thanks to the partnership, the Lowell Humane Society will now be equipped with four brand new microchip scanners, replacing their old and dated scanners, allowing for swift and accurate identification of stray animals.

So far this year, the Lowell Humane Society has taken in over 200 stray pets. With the new microchip scanners, the organization will be better prepared to handle this influx and increase the number of successful reunions between pets and their owners.

“We are incredibly grateful to Lazy River Products for their support,” said Crystal Arnott, Executive Director of Lowell Humane Society. “These new scanners will streamline our operations, helping us to reunite pets with their families quicker and reduce the time they spend in our shelter.”
