Lowell – The City of Lowell’s Office of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (CASE) and Mosaic Lowell, Lowell’s cultural economy plan, are excited to co-host the Volunteer Fair on October 5, 2024, from 9:00AM to 12:00PM at Edson Hall at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church.
This one-stop shop for volunteering and community networking welcomes everyone interested in giving back, meeting new people, learning new skills, or simply exploring opportunities in the community. The event is free and open to the public, and the venue is ADA accessible.
The Volunteer Fair is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy the outdoors, culture, and working with animals, as well as those eager to make a difference in their community. Attendees will have a chance to connect with a variety of organizations, including cultural festivals, ecological and animal organizations, and public service groups.
Participating organizations will be available at tables to share information and answer questions. All are welcome to meet organization representatives, discover volunteer opportunities, and find ways to give back to the community.
“I am thrilled to see our community come together for the Volunteer Fair, which reflects the spirit of unity and service that defines Lowell,” said Mayor Daniel P. Rourke. “This event not only highlights the wide range of opportunities available for our residents to make a meaningful impact, but also showcases the collective strength of our city.”
“The Volunteer Fair is a great way to learn about the many ways to get involved in our community,” said City Manager Thomas A. Golden, Jr. “Whether you’re interested in volunteering at a cultural festival, helping out with environmental initiatives, or supporting public service programs, there’s something for everyone.”
“We are excited to partner with CASE on this opportunity to connect Lowell’s community members to organizations and events,” said Mosaic Lowell Director Jessica O’Hearn. “This fair provides a venue for both new and veteran volunteers to connect with causes that they are more passionate about supporting.”
To make the morning even more enjoyable, the Brew’d Awakening coffee truck will be on site, offering coffee and refreshments.
