CHELMSFORD — Chief Colin Spence is pleased to share that the Chelmsford Police Department is participating in the Toys for Tots program again this holiday season.
The Department will host its 12th annual Fill-a-Cruiser event this year. Donations of new, unused and unwrapped toys for children of all ages will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 7, starting at 9 a.m. at Walmart, 66 Parkhurst Road.
The Department has the goal of collecting 3,000 toys. All donations will be contributed to Toys for Tots to help children and families in need.
“We are grateful to once again partner with Toys for Tots in spreading joy and happiness to those in need this holiday season,” said Chief Spence. “Any small action is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to seeing members of our community at our 12th annual Fill-a-Cruiser event this year!”
Chief Spence wishes to recognize Walmart for its partnership and longstanding support of the Chelmsford Police Department. He also thanks the non-profit Chelmsford Police Athletic League, through which Chelmsford officers volunteer their time to enhance the lives of local youth through sports and recreational activities. Chief Spence would also like to recognize and thank Sgt. Stephen Fredericks for his work in organizing the event.
