Lowell – The presentation of the Living Nativity, performed by children from the community, was a deeply moving and meaningful moment at the Christmas Party organized by María Claudio, president of the Roberto Clemente League of Lowell.
This heartfelt performance overflowed the hearts of all those present, who witnessed a majestic interpretation in which the children were able to convey the true spirit of Christmas, enveloping everyone in an atmosphere of joy and hope.
As part of the act, the children performed the touching song “Que canten los niños” by the acclaimed José Luis Perales, whose lyrics evoke a profound sense of unity and hope. The words of the song, “Let the children sing, let them raise their voices, let them make the world listen, let their voices unite and reach the sun, in them is the truth,” resonated deeply in the soul of every attendee, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
The celebration, held last Saturday at Fusion Church, also featured the brilliant participation of Juliana Irrizarry, a child prodigy who dazzled the audience with her spectacular dance. Her captivating performance kept everyone, both children and adults, captives, adding a touch of grace and beauty that made the event shine even more.
Another of the most vibrant moments of the night came from the Acre Girls, whose rhythm-filled and energetic choreographies won the hearts of the audience. The bomba dance, with its colorful and contagious rhythm, brought a torrent of joy and emotion, and their traditional dresses evoked the cultural roots of Puerto Rico, making everyone feel more connected to their heritage.
On the other hand, the Pasión y Cultura group ignited the Christmas spirit in the air with their performances of Christmas carols and traditional Latin holiday songs. The music not only filled the atmosphere with joy but also reminded everyone of the importance of music as a bond of unity for families during this special time.
The renowned Dominican bachatero Manny Aybar gave a memorable performance, full of passion and Caribbean flavor.
With each chord, he encouraged the audience to dance and allowed the energy of his bachatas to envelop everyone, adding a particular touch that filled the night with festive flavor.
There was also a special appearance by Santa Claus, who made his grand entrance, distributing gifts to the children with a contagious smile that filled everyone present with emotion. His arrival was the perfect closing for a magical evening, making this Christmas Party an event filled with hope and gratitude.
Families also enjoyed a delicious Puerto Rican-style Christmas dinner, a feast of traditional flavors that made the event a unique culinary experience. Additionally, raffles filled the night with excitement and fun, adding an extra dose of joy to the celebration.
None of this would have been possible without the tireless efforts of María Claudio and the support of many volunteers, including the children from the community, who, with their hard work and dedication, made this night an unforgettable memory. The Christmas Party once again became a cherished tradition that brings the community together, keeps the Christmas spirit alive, and celebrates the most endearing customs of this special time of year.
