You know what makes my heart absolutely burst with pride? Watching my son Landry (now almost 9!) talk about baseball. Whether he’s practicing his swing in our living room (not in front of his grandmother!), strategizing his next game or dreaming about his future as an LHS baseball player, his passion for the game is absolutely contagious.
And I’m not just saying this as a proud baseball mom – though watching him in that #25 uniform still gets me every time. I’m saying this as someone who has witnessed firsthand how youth baseball in Lowell builds more than just athletic skills. It creates friendships, teaches teamwork and brings our entire community together.
Speaking of community, can we talk about the incredible people who make Lowell Youth Baseball & Softball possible? Our dedicated board members who spend countless hours behind the scenes (trust me, I’ve been on those late-night text threads!), our amazing coaches who somehow balance their own jobs and families while teaching our kids both baseball skills and life lessons and our fantastic parents who do everything from running concession stands to organizing carpools.
(Sidenote: To all the parents who’ve rescued me during those “Oh no, I thought it was a 5:30 game!” moments – you’re the real MVPs! 😉 I’m talking to you Rhiannon Royal!)

Last summer, I watched in awe as our 12U All-Star team made it all the way to the New England Region Championship. Not to mention not one but four teams (8U, 9U, 11U, and 12U) clinched the title of District Champs made it to States! But you know what was even more impressive? Seeing how every single player, from our youngest T-ballers to our teenage athletes, grew not just as players but as individuals who understand the value of teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship.
Baseball and softball in Lowell is more than just a game – it’s a cornerstone of growth, camaraderie and lifelong memories. Just ask Landry about his favorite baseball moments, and he’ll talk your ear off about his teammates, the excitement of getting a hit and yes, even the post-game ice cream (because let’s be honest, that’s pretty important too!).
Don’t miss out on being part of something special. Sign up today, and let’s play ball!
