#InsideDracut: Stage Beckons Abigail Callahan

Dracut’s Abigail Callahan

The  Greater Boston Stage Company’s Young Company Summer Festival will feature a local flavor, as a rising Dracut sophomore scores a role in their upcoming production of Legally Blonde.

Abigail Callahan portrays District Attorney, Joyce Riley, during the show’s scheduled run from August 7-10 in Stoneham. The production marks Callahan’s 4th show at GBSC, and the aspiring performer tells InsideLowell she’s “thrilled to be back!”

Abby’s love of theater started at a young age, and only grows stronger with each passing year. When not on stage, she loves to read and spend time with family and friends.

The Young Company at Greater Boston Stage Company touts itself as helping the next generation become better artists, better audience members, and better people through dramatic education.

Students are provided with opportunities to work on Mainstage productions, side-by-side with professionals, and guided by the principle that “good theatre makes good people.”

This year’s GBSC lineup also features productions of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang JR. and Bye Bye Birdie.

Tickets for the shows range from $25-$35 and may be purchased by calling the Box Office at (781) 279-2200 or by visiting www. greaterbostonstage.org.

Group sales are also available.
