TEWKSBURY — The Tewksbury Police Department responded Monday morning to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian on Main Street near Clark Road.
At approximately 5:17 a.m., the Tewksbury Police Department was called to the area of Main Street, near Clark Road, for a report of a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle.
Officers arrived to discover that an adult pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that remained at the scene. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The incident kept Route 38 (Main Street) near Clark Road closed to traffic for much of the early morning commute.
The crash remains under investigation by Tewksbury Police, with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
