Longtime Chelmsford Town Manager Paul Cohen, who last week handed in his resignation effective May 25, has accepted the Town Manager job in Exeter, NH.

Cohen told InsideLowell last week that he wasn’t ready for retirement after nearly 20-years at the town’s helm and had already landed another job, but did not reveal what or where that position was.

The secret was revealed last night, when the Exeter Select Board announced the appointment at their meeting.

“I am looking forward to continuing my professional management career in Exeter,” Cohen told InsideLowell this afternoon. “It is a great community with dedicated volunteers, employees, and residents contributing to a strong local government.”
