Temporary Lane Closures at Route 110/VFW Highway/Route 38 Interchange

LOWELL – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing temporary daytime and overnight lane closures at the interchange of Route 110 (VFW Highway) and Route 38 (Hunts Falls Bridge) in Lowell.

These lane closures will take place intermittently during the daytime and overnight depending on the scheduled work.  Overnight lane closures will be in place Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., the following morning and as well as intermittent daytime closures will be in place Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Work will begin on Tuesday, April 21 and continue through Friday, May 22.

The closures are necessary to allow crews to safely and efficiently perform roadway milling and resurfacing operations.

This work is being performed under a District-wide resurfacing contract.

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution.

The schedule for this work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.
