Santiago-Hutchins & Wohlander Win Board Seats, Stilian Ousts Young for School Committee

Heather Santiago-Hutchins earned a third term on the Dracut Select Board today, topping the ticket in a tight three-way contest. She will be joined by political newcomer Kristie Wohlander, who edged out Phil Thibault for second place when the voting and counting were complete.

Santiago-Hutchins garnered 1,202 votes (30.26%), with Wohlander close behind at 1,143 (28.79%) and Thibault with 1,039 (26.17%). There were 568 blanks, a significantly high number in such a close react.

On the School Committee side, Allison Stilian knocked off incumbent Reene Michelle Young by a comfortable margin, just one year after coming up short in her first run for a SC seat in town. Young has served on the committee since 2020.

Stilian tallied 1,162 votes (58.5%) to Young’s 761 (38.33%).
