Lowell – More than 500 candidates gathered at Lowell Memorial Auditorium on Wednesday, September 2, as the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts held a Naturalization Ceremony celebrating individuals from across the community as they took the final steps toward becoming citizens of the United States.
U.S. District Judge Margaret R. Guzman presided over the ceremony, welcoming the newest citizens as they took the Oath of Allegiance.
The ceremony marked an important milestone in the lives of the newest Americans, bringing together family members, friends, community leaders, and guests to recognize their journey to citizenship and their place in the American community.

Candidates waved American flags in celebration as individuals from countries including China, Brazil, South Korea, and many others took the Oath of Allegiance.
Judge Guzman also warmly welcomed the new citizens in their native languages, adding a personal and meaningful touch to the celebration.
As is always the case, Lowell Memorial Auditorium provided a welcoming setting for this significant occasion and to share in the celebration with the newest members of the American community.
