CHELMSFORD – Jonathan Charles Lamson, a resident of Chelmsford died suddenly on Sunday, March 26, 2023, in St. John, US Virgin Islands attending the Celebration of Life of James “Jim” P. Moynihan his partner of 23 years.
Jonathan was born in Beverly, MA on February 4, 1972. He is survived by his father Jonathan E. Lamson of Fremont, NH (originally Hamilton) and his wife Ann Marie, and his mother Linda M LeClair of Greeneville, TN (originally Ipswich, MA.) He received his education in Hamilton schools and Salem State College.
Jonathan spent many years in the hospitality industry in Hamilton and Beverly before making his career as an Underwriter for Residential Mortgage/Guild Mortgage for the past 11 years. He was appreciated and loved by his team. His calm persona, patience, and willingness to always help others succeed resulted in one of the most successful branch offices. Although he achieved several awards over the years, he kept them to himself as he wanted no personal accolades.
Jonathan’s most endearing quality was his quick wit and tremendous sense of humor. He was never at a loss for words. He enjoyed the history of Hamilton and Myopia Hunt Club. He collected many historical documents and mementos over the years and proudly displayed them throughout his home.
Jonathan loved dining out and was a fantastic cook in his own right. He was an exceedingly kind and giving person and he loved to be the host of holiday parties with anywhere from 4 to 24 guests. He did not hesitate to be the first one to organize a party, a holiday event or vacation with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jonathan is survived by his sister Jennifer Lamson and her fiancée William Johnston of Greeneville, TN; two brothers, Brandon Lamson and his husband Steve of Haverhill, MA and Scott Lamson and his wife Allison of Londonderry, NH.
