LOWELL – Darlene M. Robitaille, 60, a resident of Lowell, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
From her birth to her passing, Darlene blessed and nurtured those around her with her immense love, faith, humor, and compassion. She left her mark on the world as a beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, friend, gardener, cook, baker, and lover and protector of animals.
Born in Lowell on April 4, 1963, she was the daughter of Beverly (Beaumont) Robitaille of Lowell and Raymond Robitaille and his wife Doris of West Palm Beach, FL.
A graduate of the former St. Joseph High School in Lowell, Darlene enjoyed a career as a veterinary technician and was most recently employed by Countryside Veterinary Hospital in Chelmsford.
She had a passion for gardening, cooking, baking and antiquing, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and precious grandson. Lovingly known to many as “Mama D,” she had a great devotion to animals and a penchant for a good inspirational quote.
In addition to her parents, she leaves three children, Timothy Sullivan and his partner Brenn Bondy of North Chelmsford, Bayley Millette of Chelmsford, and Joseph Millette and his partner Angelica Sou of Nashua, NH; her grandson, Liam Maserati of Chelmsford; two sisters and their spouses, Lynne and David Baril of Dracut, and Susan and Kenneth Lavallee of North Chelmsford; and many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Darlene’s Life Celebration on Friday, June 9th from 4 until 8 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning, June 10th at 10 AM in St. Francis Church, Dracut. Burial will be private. For those who wish and in lieu of flowers, donations in Darlene’s name may be made to Lowell House, 101 Jackson St., Lowell, MA 01852, or at www.lowellhouseinc.org in support of a Recovery Garden in her memory.
