Lowell – Community Teamwork will be joined by Mayor Sokhary Chau on Friday, July 7th to celebrate the grand opening of the Lowell Farmer’s Market. This year the Lowell Farmer’s Market will be held at a new location with a store-front space in the Hamilton Canal Garage (350A Dutton Street – straight over the bridge) with additional vendors filling the lawn in front of the garage.
A long list of vendors will be participating this year including: Bitz N Peace, My Tiny Farm, Precious Prosper, Fresh Start Farms, Mill City Mercantile, Phalla’s Farm, Flats Mentor Farm, and Mill City Grows just to name a few. In addition, local food truck Mira Ve, will featuring delicious Columbian offerings at the market.
The opening day event on July 7th will begin at 12 noon and will feature a welcome from Karen Frederick, CEO, a proclamation from Lowell Mayor Sokary Chau, and a live cooking demonstration (with free samples) from one of Lowell’s newest restaurants…The Dragonfly Café. Rumor has it that both Karen and Mayor Chau may actually be helping out with the cooking demo!
The Lowell Farmer’s Market will continue every Friday, throughout the summer, beginning July 7th and ending October 27th. There will not be a market on Friday, July 28th due to the Lowell Folk Festival.
