As the excitement continues to build for the Folk Festival’s imminent arrival, the City of Lowell and festival organizers are finalizing plans for for residents and visitors.
The biggest impact (besides the economic impact!) involves the street closures over the weekend and in the days leading up to the Festival. Reminder, Lowell Folk Festival is Friday, July 28, to Sunday, July 30. Please plan your travel plans accordingly:
- July 26 at 7:00AM – Arcand Drive (Merrimack Street to Father Morissette Boulevard)
- July 28 at 7:00AM – French Street (John Street to Kirk Street)
- July 28 at 12:00PM – French Street (Kirk Street to Arcand Drive)
- July 28 at 3:00PM – Central Street, John Street, Merrimack Street, Middle Street, Paige Street, Palmer Street, Shattuck Street
- July 28 at 5:30PM – Market Street (Dutton Street to Palmer Street)
