After watching older sisters Molly and Morgan take turns dominating the local ladies golf scene, Maddie Smith took center stage today at the 90th Massachusetts Girls Junior Amateur Championship.

Smith carded six birdies and three bogeys on the way to a 3-under par (69) today, taking the lead lead after two rounds at Braintree Municipal Golf Course. The third and final round will be contested tomorrow, with the 15-year old two shots ahead of Isabel Brozena, who plays out of Indian Ridge Country Club.

Smith captured the “Mites Division” of this same tournament back in 2018.
