Following in the footsteps of Mayor Danny Rourke, City Manager Tom Golden and Assistant City Manager Connor Baldwin are the latest members of Lowell’s leadership team to draw a featured interview in Capital Analytics Associates economic development and business outlook online forum.
The Rourke feature was published in early July and led to the Mayor receiving an invitation last month to the 2024 Urban Economic Forum, which took place in Toronto, Canada.
Both Golden and Baldwin’s features were published on October 24th.
The discussion with the Manager focused on the Mill City’s role as a regional hub for economic development and on the 2040 Master Plan. There was also discussion of UMass Lowell’s LINC project and how the $800-million development can be integrated into the rest of the city’s business community.
The interview with Baldwin focused heavily on finances and the various factors that make municipal budgeting a challenge in today’s environment.
Capital Analytics Associates is an integrated media platform that provides comprehensive investment knowledge to external investors and the global business community. The hope is their recent focus on Lowell will be beneficial in spurring the interest of regional and national companies to do business in the Mill City.
The platform also produces 200-page publications on various markets around the country, including Boston. Those publications feature in-house analysis, supporting data and stats, alongside exclusive insights from prominent industry leaders. The reports are widely read locally, nationally and globally.
Aside from their strong subscriber base, the reports are distributed at trade and investment boards, to executives of Fortune 500 companies, institutional investors, consulates and embassies, as well as high-level summits and conferences.
