Lowell – Last Sunday, Rogers Street in Lowell was filled with the Christmas spirit thanks to a magical event organized by Pamela Blanco. The festive day included a variety of activities designed to spark children’s imaginations and promote learning, celebrating the magic and meaning of Christmas in a special way.
Among the most notable activities was Christmas painting, an unforgettable experience for the little ones that fosters artistic expression and serves as a positive stimulus. This activity provided an opportunity to have fun creating colorful and emotionally expressive works of art during this important festive season.
Blanco, owner of Lizardo Market and one of the founders of the Dominican Cultural and Sports House of Lowell, organized this event to bring joy and relief to the community. Her initiative brought together children of various ages who enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon filled with fun, creativity, and warm community spirit. Blanco stated: “I’ve always loved organizing activities for children, and I think that a small act can change people’s perspectives, fostering empathy and love among humans.”
Another favorite activity was decorating gingerbread houses, where the kids let their imaginations soar to create true masterpieces. They also participated in exciting games and other children’s activities that filled the afternoon with laughter and fun, while giving them a chance to bond with other kids.
One of the most anticipated moments was the arrival of Santa Claus, who brought a magical touch to the event. Santa handed out gifts to the little ones, who also had the opportunity to take photos with this cheerful and fun Santa, bringing smiles to the faces of children and their families and leaving them with unforgettable memories.
Of course, delicious food was also part of the celebration. The kids enjoyed pizza, popcorn, and other treats that added flavor to the event. The impeccable organization was a reflection of Pamela Blanco’s commitment to providing a safe and joyful space for families to enjoy the holiday season together.
Events like this highlight the true meaning of Christmas: bringing the community together, sharing moments of happiness, and reinforcing values like creativity, generosity, and hope. In a world full of distractions, activities such as painting and games not only entertain but also provide essential tools for the emotional and social development of children.
Without a doubt, it was a special day that will remain in the memories of everyone who attended, reaffirming the importance of celebrating the Christmas spirit together. The Christmas-inspired decorations were designed by Elizabeth González.
