CHELMSFORD – Following the lead from the seniors, Chelmsford High School’s Class of 2026 have been hard at work organizing a craft fair that will take place on Sunday, Feb. 2.

The event will feature over 90 artisans and will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the cafeteria areas at the high school.

Kathy LaFlamme, the junior class co-advisor, said proceeds raised from the craft fair will go toward defraying the costs associated with senior year, including prom and the banquet.

During the Class of 2025’s November craft fair, LaFlamme said vendors were given the opportunity to sign up for this weekend’s craft fair. She also advertised the event in crafting pages on Facebook.

“It’s a lot of work,” she said, adding that the advisors for the Class of 2025 have been invaluable in offering guidance and support. “The students get community service hours, so that’s an added bonus for them.”

Junior Mia Troncoso said she has enjoyed working with her classmates to bring a craft fair to fruition.

“It’s definitely a great way to get involved with the community because vendors are always looking for places to sell their goods,” she said.

Junior Samantha Schena said she is looking forward to Sunday and seeing all the hard work and planning pay off.

“It’s great to see the community come together to help us raise money for our class so we can have a fun senior year,” she said. “It’s been great to see everyone in our Class Reps putting in the effort to make it happen.”

Items that will be available from local artisans include framed artwork, charcuterie boards, resin art, stained glass, crochet pieces, jewelry, clothing and totes, tumblers, beadwork, books, pottery, photographs, candles, glasswork, textiles and quilts, aromatherapy, stationary and much more.

There will also be raffles featuring items from craft fair vendors, as well as a bake sale, all to cover costs associated with senior year events for the Class of 2026.

In addition, Heavnly Dogs and Old Mill House Coffee will be onsite with lunch and breakfast items and beverages available for purchase.

For those who may not be able to make it this weekend, LaFlamme said the expectation is the Class of 2026 will host another craft fair just before the holidays in November.
