Kerry Jenness, who left the City of Lowell Solicitor’s Office in the Fall, is now working for the Mass Association of Community Colleges.
Jenness had served as 1st Assistant City Solicitor in the Mill City. She joined the MACC on November 28th. As part of her duties, she represents and supports Middlesex Community College and the state’s 14 other Community Colleges.
Jenness resigned her position in Lowell less than two weeks after Solicitor Christine O’Connor resigned to become Town Counsel for North Andover. At the time, sources told us Jenness had been offered the top job in the city but turned it down.
She confirmed to InsideLowell she was indeed offered the City Solicitor post and “as someone committed to the City of Lowell, and having chosen to come back to the Law Department because of the quality of the people, it was a difficult decision.”
The graduate of Georgetown, Indiana University and Harvard Law School calls the MACC is a “great fit” for her values.
