Whether you observe and celebrate Easter, Passover or any other number of holidays, you can enjoy these wines with a delicious dinner or have a glass on its own. If you’re having a nice, glazed ham, roasted lamb or even a vegetarian meal… any of these are sure to pair nicely and even surprise you.
Meiomi Pinot Noir is from California and is priced right around $20. The grapes are sourced from 3 wine producing counties. It is bright, jammy with a touch of vanilla and light oak. You’ll see this wine on a lot of menus, as it is very approachable. Pairs nicely with just about anything.
Another nice dinner wine is a dry Riesling from Chateau Ste. Michelle.
This is a very affordable light, white (not sweet). It has a brilliant acidity, pale in color with notes of apple and lime. Dry riesling will pair well with glazed ham, roasted vegetables, and many other foods. CSM hails from Washington State and is famous for producing many delicious wines including chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, late harvest riesling and many more.
Lastly, Fleur de Mer, a rose’ from Provence, France. I would venture to say Provence produces the most delicious and diverse rose’ wines. It has a crisp and refreshing style, light body and deeper rose’ color than many others. This is a more substantial wine than many others in this category. It’s a beautiful out on the deck, summer wine…easy drinking and enjoyable.
Enjoy your holiday weekend, if you celebrate and if not, cheers to the weekend!
