InsideChelmsford: Cohen Receives New Contract

After years of uncertainty surrounding his future, Chelmsford Town Manager Paul Cohen recently signed a new contract which will keep him with the town through at least June 30, 2027.

The deal was signed Monday October 23rd and begins retroactively, July 1, 2023. It calls for a salary of $221,219 dollars in year one, with subsequent 4% pay increases through  July 1, 2026. That brings the salary during the last year of the deal to $248,841.

Cohen who has  served as Chelmsford’s Manager since November 0f 2006, declined comment when contacted by InsideLowell.

In addition to Cohen’s new deal, Town Accountant Darlene Lussier also received a new agreement running through 2027. Lussier was first hired as Assistant Town Accountant in February of 2000 and was promoted to the top spot in January of 2007.
