
Lowell Girls Lacrosse Grade 1/2 Team

Lowell Girls Lacrosse finished the weekend with 2 wins and 2 losses in matchups against Burlington. One game, scheduled against North Middlesex, was canceled due to weather and field conditions. Rain, snow or shine, the girls continue to play hard and grow each week!
Grade 1/2:
The Lowell Girls 1/2 team came out strong on Sunday, earning a 13–8 win over a talented Burlington squad. Eva Mojica led the scoring with an impressive 6 goals, while Etta Brunini netted 3. Avery Gudewich, Vivian Gilmore, Michaela Marshall, and Kerryn Welch each added a goal to round out a well-balanced offensive effort.
Kinsley Witts had a standout performance, tallying 4 assists, 4 ground balls, and delivering strong play on the defensive end. Other key contributions included Etta Brunini with 2 assists and a ground ball, Eva Mojica with 3 assists and 2 ground balls, and Michaela Marshall, who added 3 assists, 5 ground balls, and multiple draw controls. Sophia Bedard chipped in with an assist, and Vivian Gilmore notched a ground ball win.
In net, Riley Brady and Evelyn McManus shared goaltending duties, each coming up with key saves to help secure the win.
The LGL 1/2 team will now focus on continuing to build their skills in practice over the next two weeks, as they prepare to take on Tewksbury at home on Sunday, April 27.

Grade 3/4 White:
Sunday’s game against North Middlesex was cancelled due to weather and field conditions. The team will be back in action on Sunday, April 27—ready to hit the field again!

Lowell Girls Lacrosse Grade 3/4 Red Team
Grade 3/4 Red:
In an impressive away game, Lowell’s 3/4 Red Girls’ team showcased exceptional teamwork, defeating Burlington with a score of 18-5.
The victory was a true team effort, with seven different players contributing to the scoreboard. Ellie Branco led the charge with an outstanding six goals. Vivian Shanley followed with four goals, demonstrating her offensive skills. Addy Dolan added three goals to the tally, while Vivian Rosenberry scored twice. Ellie Jaracz, Keira Pollard, and Avery Hungler each contributed a goal, highlighting the talent on the team.
Audrey Hunt was a wall in goal, stopping several shots and keeping Burlington away. Defenders Alice Regan and Kenzie Keo played crucial roles in maintaining a strong defense, stopping Burlington’s attempts to score.
Emmagrace Glavine, Emily Kilbride, and Katy Florence made significant offensive plays, setting up scoring opportunities and keeping the pressure on Burlington.
Lowell’s excellent teamwork and passing shone with every player contributing to the win. The team’s ability to work together and support each other on the field was evident throughout the game, making this victory a memorable one.

Nora Kelly and Maggie Wilson lead the attack for the Grade 5/6 Team
Grade 5/6:
The 5/6 team faced off against a strong Burlington team. Although the outcome wasn’t what the team had hoped for, the girls dug deep and gave their all until the final whistle.
Niamh Murphy, Lilah Hall, and Nora Graham were solid on defense, keeping steady pressure on their marks.
Nora Kelly had a fantastic game on attack, scoring a goal and seamlessly transitioning to defense when needed.
Abby Smulligan and Mairin Monaghan each had multiple interceptions, helping turn the ball over and regain possession.
There was a strong middie effort throughout the game by Maeve McKiernan, Maeve Marshall, Maggie Wilson, and Cate Richardson.
Nora Finn and Keira Peters played midfield for the first time this season, contributing with speed, solid catching, and crisp passing.
The girls are back to work this week, focusing on defensive plays and footwork. We’re looking forward to the games after April break.

Grade 7/8:
7/8 had a great showing against Burlington on Sunday. Isabella Sorbi and Jolene Heslin both had great turnovers on attack throughout the game, taking control of the ball and bringing it down the field. Peyton Kum and Angelina Poirier had awesome showings on defense, stopping multiple assists from the other team and taking control of ground balls. Vicky Espinosa did a great job in goal with multiple stops.
