The Lowell Police Department is seeking assistance from the public as the investigation continues into a fatal hit and run crash that occurred last week in Lowell.

At approximately 11:55 p.m. on Thursday October 30, 2025, officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the 700 block of Chelmsford Street. The pedestrian, an adult female, received emergency medical treatment on scene and was transported, via ambulance, to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The motor vehicle that struck her fled the scene. This incident is being actively investigated by the Lowell Police Department Accident Reconstruction Unit, the Lowell Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau, and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
