Loving Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother

LOWELL – Bertha M. (Paré) Dupuis, 97, a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, with her loving family surrounding her. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul A. Dupuis.

Born in Lowell on June 30, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Isadore and Alice (Dalphond) Paré.

Bertha was a long time communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church, and more recently St. Michael Church. Bertha and her husband Paul were very active with the R.A.R.A. organization.

She had worked as a seamstress for the former St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lowell.

Bertha is survived by three children, Roger Dupuis and his wife Deborah (Roberts), Janet Dupuis and her fiancé Jim Dunn and Richard Dupuis; six grandchildren, Gary Dupuis and his wife Jen, Brielle Dupuis, Chrystal Dupuis, Brittany Dupuis, Laura Mills and her husband Evan and Zachary Dupuis; three great grandchildren, Olivia, Emilee and Sienna. She is also survived by the mother of Gary, Chrystal and Laura, Elaine Dupuis. And dear friend and mother of Zachary, Deborah Hogan. Three sisters, Gertrude Santos, Lucille Guevin and Pricilla Chaput; two brothers, Richard Paré and his wife Nancy and Donald Paré and his wife Terry; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the mother of the late Ruth Dupuis and the sister of the late Therese Pyne, Georgette Harding, Andre Paré, Roger Paré, Joseph “Mike” Paré and Cecile Lavallee. And dear friend, Muriel Hogan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bertha’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 2:00 until 5:00pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Michael Church in Lowell.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
