LOWELL – Bette F. Lewis, age 66, a resident of Lowell died Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill. She was the beloved partner of Stephen A. Sordiff, with whom she has been with for over 30 years.
She was born in Holton, ME on June 9, 1957, and was the daughter of the late Raymond Lewis and Mary (Dickey) McNulty. She received her education in Lowell schools and attended Middlesex Community College.
Bette spent her life tending to the needs of her home and loving family. Her sons were born with hemophilia and she spent many years lovingly caring for them during their illnesses.
She was an avid collector and loved animals. She also enjoyed swimming and gardening.
In addition to her partner, Bette is survived by a son, Brandon S. Lewis-LaRose and his wife Ashton Barton of Lowell; her daughter, Shilo L. Doiron and her husband Jason of Templeton; five grandchildren, Ada, Neo and Nora Lewis and Maynard and Lincoln Doiron; many cousins, including Ronald Boisvert of Boston, who was like a brother to her; and many dear friends.
She was also the mother of the late Jammie S. Lewis and Shannon J. LaRose.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bette’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00pm. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00am at the funeral home. Burial in Lowell Cemetery.
