BRENTWOOD, NH – Geraldine Ann “Gerry” Benoit, age 80, former Salem, NH resident died Friday September 22, 2023 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH.

Born in Lowell on February 8, 1943. Daughter of the late Lionel J. and Evelyn M. Benoit. She received her education in Lowell schools. Graduate of Lowell High School where she was a Girl Officer and a baton twirler.

Gerry was a former employee at Raytheon for many years.

She was an avid collector and enjoyed shopping.

Gerry was a devout Catholic and was a longtime parishioner of St. Michael Church in Lowell, where she sang in the choir.

She is survived by three sisters Carole A. Stacy of Belmont, NH, Evelyn M. Allen and her husband Albert of Dracut, MA and Paula R. Cabana and her husband Dana of Loudon, NH: and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents and siblings Nancy Chakarian, Lois Parris, Judith Souza, and Lionel “Sonny” Benoit.

There will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Rd. in Chelmsford on Saturday October 7, 2023 at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Geraldine’s name to a hospice of choice.
