DRACUT – Janet A. (Berube) Schiripo, 100, a long-time resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully, Friday, February 3, 2023 at her home surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale Schiripo, until his passing in 2005.
She was born in Shawinigan, Canada on June 6, 1922 and was a daughter of the late Emma (Beland) and Thomas Berube. She was raised in Lowell and graduated from St. Louis School and attended Lowell High School.
In over 100 years of life, Janet always liked it best when the whole family was together. She enjoyed family get togethers for holidays, birthdays and any reason to gather. She especially loved the time spent with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, reading and dancing. She was always up for fun activities, such as bowling, fencing, tennis and belly dancing.
Janet was a parishioner of St. Francis Church in Dracut.
Janet is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children, Thomas Schiripo and his wife Nancy of Dracut, Linda (Schiripo) Carr of Dracut and Patti Schiripo and her husband William Krovatin of Glenridge, NJ; her five grandchildren, Cara Foss and her husband Adam, Taryn Rourke and her husband Peter and Brendan, Jan and Victoria Krovatin; her five great-grandchildren, Colton, Ethan, Samuel, Liam and Raegan; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Irene Cesolini; her brothers, Eugene and Thomas Berube and son-in-law, Dennis Carr.
Relatives and friends are invited to Janet’s Life Celebration on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 3 until 7 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in St. Francis Church, Dracut. Burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet’s memory to a charity of your choice.
