DRACUT – Ronald Douglas Paquin, age 80, a longtime resident of Dracut died Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Claire D. (Pelletier) Paquin.
He was born in Portsmouth, NH on November 26, 1943, and was a son of the late Andrew E. and Cecile (Baril) Paquin.
Prior to his retirement, Ronald was employed for many years as a bus driver for Dracut Public Schools. Earlier in his career, he was employed by United Shoe Machinery in Beverly and in car and construction material sales.
Ronald could often be found cutting and splitting wood or gardening. He was an avid football fan and coached Pop Warner earlier in life. He was also known as a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything.
He is survived by his two sons, Brian Paquin of Tuftonboro, NH and Marc Lawler and his fianceé Patti Stickney of Nashua, NH; two brothers, Dennis Paquin and his wife Joyce of Dracut and Bernard Paquin and his wife Carol of FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ronald’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Friday, January 5th from 9:00am until 11:00am followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00am in the funeral home.
