Ronald W. Winsor

Ronald W. Winsor, 70, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023, at the Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Florida with his wife and stepson by his side.

He was born in Kenosha, WI on January 7, 1953, son of the late Robert Alexander Winsor and Betty Mae (Borst) Winsor. Ron served in the military, retiring on April 30, 1993, after a 20-year career with the United States Air Force. He then worked in Federal Civil Service assigned to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service for another 10 years before retiring and moving to Winter Haven, FL. His career resulted in him residing in many different states and overseas, including Wichita Falls, TX where he met his wife, Elizabeth “Beth” A. (Carroll) Winsor of 37 years.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Post 127, where he served in various positions, including Post Commander. Ron enjoyed an active sports life and spent his retirement years golfing as a member of the Four Lakes Golf Club (FLGC) in Florida.

Besides his loving wife and devoted stepson, Ronald J. Bugler, Ron is survived by his stepson’s daughter, Kylee Bugler; his sister, Jeri R. Godlewski; three nephews, Mark Godlewski and wife Gina and their daughter Samantha Godlewski, Christopher Godlewski and wife Laurie, and Jeffrey Godlewski; two brothers-in-law, Paul Carroll and wife Kathy and William Carroll and wife Natalie; three sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Carroll) Conroy, Joanne (Carroll) True and Patricia (Carroll) Regan and husband David.

Besides his parents, Ron is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Peter Godlewski and his stepson, Shawn P. Bugler. He will be truly missed by his loving family and his many close friends at FLGC.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell, MA on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 9:00AM to 10:30AM and graveside service immediately following at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury, MA.
