Sebastian John Ponte … beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin

The many relatives and friends of J. Mike and Jennifer (Martinez) Ponte will be saddened to learn of the passing of their beloved son, Sebastian John Ponte, 3, on February 28th, 2023. He was surrounded by his family when he peacefully went to the Lord in Heaven. Sebastian was born on December 29th, 2019 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Sebastian was a triplet who loved to cause trouble with his brother Zachary and sister Sophia. He always looked forward to visits with his big sister Mackenzie. Cocomelon was his favorite show and Wheels on the Bus was his favorite song. Sebastian loved to play with his cars, listen to music, dance, and most of all he loved bath time. He was a light and joy to all of the people in his life.

In addition to his parents, brother and sisters, Sebastian is survived by his maternal grandfather Santos “Manny” Martinez; paternal grandparents Jose and Maria Ponte; Uncles Manuel, Joseph, and Steven; Aunts Laura, Megan, and Ana; and cousins Joel, Alexis (Godmother), Eric, Raymond, Kobe, Layla, Mikey, Anthony, and Vivianne. Sebastian was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Lucy M. Martinez.

The Ponte family would also like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Boston Children’s Hospital who tirelessly worked to care for Sebastian.

Relatives and friends are invited to Sebastian’s visitation on Monday from 4 until 8 PM at the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth Street. His Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10 AM in St. Anthony Church. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
