LOWELL, MA – 18th Middlesex District State Representative Tara. T. Hong would like to invite community members to support the Lowell Humane Society’s pet food pantry.
Rep. Hong will be hosting a Pet Food Drive on Saturday, November 22nd from 10am – 12pm at Lowell Humane Society located at 951 Broadway Street in Lowell.
The items needed most are:
· Canned cat/kitten food
· 5lb bags of dry cat food
· Cesar brand wet dog food
· 10lb bags of dry dog food
· Clay cat litter
“This time of year can be tough for people when it comes to food insecurity. I am grateful to the many organizations in our community working to meet that need,” said Hong. “The Lowell Humane Society’s pet food pantry fills a need that can sometimes get overlooked: pet food insecurity.”
Rep. Hong’s office will also be coordinating a Pet Food Drive within the State House, inviting fellow legislators to support the Lowell Humane Society’s pet food pantry.
“I hope to see you on Saturday, November 22nd to ensure every pet has a full bowl,” said Hong.
