Tewksbury Police Seek Public Assistance with Animal Cruelty Investigation

TEWKSBURY — The Tewksbury Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance as they seek to identify the driver of a dark-colored SUV that intentionally ran over and killed several seagulls earlier this week.

On Thursday, Dec. 11, at approximately 12:06 p.m., Tewksbury Police were called to the parking lot of 1777 Main St., for a report that a driver intentionally ran over and killed several seagulls.

Upon arrival, officers found six dead seagulls. Their initial investigation determined that a dark-colored SUV accelerated before driving through the flock.

Police are releasing a video of the incident in the hope that other eyewitnesses or those with knowledge of the event may come forward. To view that video, click here.
