Trio of “Good Scouts” to be Honored

LOWELL – The Spirit of Adventure Council will host the 20th Greater Lowell Good Scout Awards Breakfast on Tuesday, September 24 at the Hilton Garden Inn Tewksbury/Andover. The event will honor two top business leaders, David T. Daly, Joe Faro, and former Middlesex County District Attorney Gerard “Gerry” Leone Jr.

The Greater Lowell Good Scout Awards Breakfast will feature the presentation of the Greater Lowell Good Scout Award. This honor is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated integrity and genuine concern for others in both their professional and personal lives. The recipients need not have been Scouts but must carry the “Spirit of Scouting” into their adult lives. They are people who have been unselfish in their service to others…on an individual and community basis. A Good Scout is a person who truly captures the respect and imagination of our youth.

The presentation of The Good Scout Award is a special opportunity for the Boy Scouts Spirit of Adventure Council to honor a leader, company, or civic group who has made a significant contribution to his/her community and has given of themselves to the benefit of others.

Honoree David T. Daly, the founder of Pridestar Trinity EMS, is a longtime fixture in the community with a passion for giving back.

“Receiving the Good Scout Award is a tremendous honor. Scouting has always been about giving back to the community and fostering leadership, and I am grateful to be recognized for these values that guide my life,” said David T. Daly.

Joe Faro, Tuscan Village visionary and owner of Tuscan Brands is well-known for his community service in the region.

“I am deeply humbled to receive the Good Scout Award. Scouting has taught me the importance of integrity, perseverance, and service, principles that have shaped my journey in both business and philanthropy,” said Joe Faro.

In addition to being a former elected district attorney, Gerry Leone Jr. is also a former federal prosecutor and acclaimed attorney presently with the law firm of Hunton Andrews Kurth, LLP.

“I am personally very thankful for receiving this recognition, which means so much because it reflects the values of integrity, leadership, and community service that the Scouting movement represents,” said Gerry Leone.

The Greater Lowell Good Scout Breakfast will be held from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the Hilton Garden Inn at 4 Highwood Dr. in Tewksbury. For more information, please contact Komba Lamina at Komba.Lamina@Scouting.org or 781.244.9080
