LOWELL – 18th Middlesex District State Representative Tara T. Hong invites everyone to participate in the 2nd Annual Pet Food Drive in partnership with the Lowell Humane Society.
The Drive will take place Saturday, November 21st from 10 am–12 pm at Lowell Humane Society, located at 951 Broadway Street in Lowell.
The Humane Society has provided the following list of in-de mand items:
- Canned cat/kitten food
- 5lb bags of dry cat food
- Cesar brand wet dog food
- 10lb bags of dry dog food
- Clay cat litter
“I am thrilled to once again partner with the Lowell Humane Society for our second annual pet food drive,” said Rep. Hong. “We are so grateful to everyone that came out last year to support the pets and families in our community.”
There are multiple ways for the community to participate in the Pet Food Drive if they’re not able to make the in-person event on November 21st.
Rep. Hong’s office will be partnering with Lowell-based businesses for additional donation drop-off locations. From October 19th through November 19th, people can drop off their donations at the Cafe Eclipse located at 12 Cardinal O’Connell Parkway, or at Nibbana Cafe located at 122 Western Avenue.
Rep. Hong’s office will also be collecting for the drive within the State House, inviting fellow legislators to support the Lowell Humane Society’s pet food pantry.
“I hope you’re able to help support the Lowell Humane Society with me and ensure every pet has a full bowl,” said Hong.
Rep. Hong also encourages those who are unable to participate in this year’s Pet Food Drive to visit the Lowell Humane Society’s wish list page for other ways to support at https://www.lowellhumanesociety.org/donate/wish-list/
