The fabled Fountain of Youth has been sought for centuries.
Legend has it that Ponce de Leon discovered the mythical spring that restores the youth of those who drink or bathes in the water off the coast of the Bahamas.
But you don’t have to go to Bimini. The Fountain of Youth is right here in Dracut.
Dr. Pradeep Aujla opened the NE Fountain of Youth Health Spa in May 2019 at Dracut Village Square, 101 Broadway Road. She moved this week to a newly renovated space at 454 Hildreth Street that she bought from the town at auction in August 2023.
Dr. Aujla is planning a grand-reopening ceremony on May 3, 2024, to coincide with NE Fountain of Youth’s fifth anniversary.
The new location has roughly the same square-footage, about 1,250, but it’s spread over two floors rather than one, and now features four treatment rooms instead of two treatment spaces. And now she owns the building rather than renting.
Dr. Aujla liked the spot, directly across Hildreth Street from the entrance to Hannaford’s and was concerned about her former location with rumors that the Village Square plaza may be sold.
“I wasn’t sure what was going to happen, and I wanted to stay in Dracut,” she said.
NE Fountain of Youth bills itself as “high quality cosmetic care that highlights your beauty.” Its services include:
- Hair removal and restoration, using platelet-rich plasma (PRP), Diolaze, platelet-rich fibrin matrix (PRFM), dermaplaning, and Hydrafacial Keravive.
- Rejuvenation services, including Morpheus8, microneedling (collagen-induction therapy), Mesogold therapy, Moxi, Lumecca, and ThermoClear.
- Facial services, including chemical peels, DiamondGlow, Hydrafacial MD, ZO Facial and ZO Brightening.
- IV therapy, using amino acids, ascorbic acid, glutathione, B-complex vitamins, Myers Cocktail, immunity, Inner Beauty, recovery and performance, and Get-Up-And-Go.
- Botox.
- Dermal fillers.
When Dr. Aujla opened NE Fountain of Youth in 2019, she was a primary-care physician affiliated with several hospitals, including Lowell General and St. Joseph’s in Nashua, with an office on Bridge Street in Dracut. She decided to close her practice in 2023 to focus solely on NE Fountain of youth.
“I decided this is what I wanted to do,” she said.
Fountain of Youth employs four, and Dr. Aujla performs most of the treatments, though an esthetician performs most of the facial procedures.
