City of Lowell Launches Expanded Resource Access Hours

The City of Lowell today announced the launch of its expanded Resource Access Hours, providing residents with consistent, in-person access to City services every other Tuesday throughout the year.

Designed to make municipal government more accessible and responsive, Resource Access Hours offer direct, one-on-one support from staff across multiple departments in a welcoming and community-focused setting.

Each session will include on-site interpretation services in Khmer, Portuguese, and Spanish, with additional languages available upon request, ensuring language is not a barrier to accessing important resources.

Residents will also have the opportunity to meet with the City’s Energy Advocate, Victor Vargas, for assistance with energy bills and guidance on available relief programs.

In addition to these ongoing services, each month will feature a highlighted department to provide more focused support.

The month of May spotlights Economic Development, connecting residents, entrepreneurs, and small business owners with tools, guidance, and opportunities to grow and succeed in Lowell. Downtown/Business Coordinator Liam Skinner will join both May dates to meet with and assist business owners. No appointment or registration necessary.

Through Resource Access Hours, the City continues its commitment to expanding access, strengthening community connections, and ensuring all residents can easily engage with the services available to them.
