Tara Hong immigrated from Cambodia in 2013. He graduated from Lowell Public Schools in 2018 and the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2022, majoring in political science and minoring in criminal justice.

Community involvement is an important part of who Tara is, having worked or volunteered for the past few years for Lowell Public Schools, the Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association (CMAA) and the Lowell Litter Krewe. He’s also served on the Board of Directors for Lowell Litter Krewe and Mill City Grows.

Tara’s goal is to find ways of bringing the community together, encouraging Lowell residents to get involved, especially through voting, and to be informed about what the city has done for all of us.
