All nine Boomer Baseball teams kicked off their seasons this past weekend in action across New England. The Boomer Softball season is right around the corner… Here are our top performers from this week’s games.
Baseball
8U Development Team – Baseball
8U Development Team picked up a 10-9 win thanks to a walk off RBI from Cody Royal. Xavien McLellan and Landry McFadden were solid on the mound. Providing solid defense all game were Jack Lenzi (1B) and Brock Upton (C).
9U Baseball
Kaleb Pigeon had two hits on Saturday and Angelo Santiago pitched four scoreless innings to lead the Boomer 9U in their first doubleheader of the year. On Tuesday, Knoxx Seng pitched three solid innings to lead the 9U to a win.
10U Baseball
Zahir Rodriguez led the hitting attack for 10U versus a solid GBG Hawks program. The team returns home this weekend for two doubleheaders.
11U Baseball
Emilio Cespedes led the way with 4 hits. Jack Duffy contributed with two hits. Aleksi Romanowsky pitched well in relief allowing only 1 hit through 3 innings.
12U Baseball
Connor McNamara paced the 12U offense with two hits and an RBI. Bryceson Silva pitched well over three innings. The team is looking to clean up some early mistakes and build positive momentum heading into league division play.
13U Baseball
Nate Norman pitched four innings allowing just one run. Michael Rillovick pitched two innings without allowing a hit in the first live action of the season. Offensively, Ryan Foley had two hits, while Dylan LeLacheur and Connor Stevens both added doubles.
14U Baseball
Melchizedek Vann had two hits and a stellar play on defense. Jose Lopez had a pair of hits and Brennan Abrams provided great defense throughout the day in center field.
15U Baseball
Josh Boucher (freshman) got his first career start for Lowell High, getting on base three times, contributing to Lowell’s 12-6 win over Concord-Carlisle. Shawn Hines started on the mound for Lowell Catholic throwing three scoreless innings as part of LC’s win over Georgetown. Chad Vigeant (freshman) helped lead Dracut High to a season-opening win with great defense at catcher.
16U Baseball
Andrew Reid threw a complete game one-hitter, striking out seven as Middlesex School won its ISL opener over BB&N. Brenden Modeski and Riley Johnson each had hits as Dracut topped Tyngsborough to start the season.
