Chelmsford Student Film Festival Slated for August 21

CHELMSFORD – Chelmsford Telemedia (CTM) and the Chelmsford Center for the Arts (CCA) are excited to present the 7th Annual Chelmsford Student Film Festival on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Chelmsford Center for the Arts, 1A North Road, Chelmsford, MA.

The annual festival celebrates the creativity, storytelling, and hard work of junior high and high school filmmakers from across the Greater Lowell area.

This year’s festival will feature eight original student-produced short films, giving young filmmakers the opportunity to see their work on the big screen while sharing it with family, friends, and the community.

“One of the best parts of organizing this festival has been watching each submission and seeing the creativity and dedication that went into every film,” said Sophie Boucher, Event Coordinator. “Whether it’s someone’s very first film or they’ve been creating films for years, this festival gives students a chance to share their work with an audience and be recognized for everything they’ve accomplished. We’re excited to celebrate these talented young filmmakers and bring the community together for a fun night of film.”

Following the screenings, there will be a brief Q&A session with the students, and the evening will conclude with an awards ceremony, with cash prizes presented to the winners of:

While all of the films were created by student filmmakers, some contain mature themes and brief moments of intensity. The films have not been officially rated, and viewer discretion is advised.
