City Releases 2025 Early Voting Schedule

Lowell, Mass., August 13, 2025 – Following a vote of the Lowell City Council on Tuesday, August 12, the Lowell Elections Commission has released the following in-person Early Voting schedule for the 2025 City Preliminary and Election.

The proposed schedule was discussed on Tuesday’s Daily Pulse podcast, prior to the council voting on the measure.

A Preliminary will be held on September 9 for District City Council in Wards 3, 7, and 8, and voters in these Wards may vote early at the Lowell Senior Center at 276 Broadway St during the following hours:

  • Saturday, August 30, 9:00AM – 5:00PM
  • Tuesday, September 2, 9:00AM – 8:00PM
  • Wednesday, September 3, 9:00AM – 3:00PM
  • Thursday, September 4, 9:00AM – 3:00PM
  • Friday, September 5, 9:00AM – 3:00PM

In advance of the city-wide Election in November, in-person Early Voting will once again be held at the Lowell Senior Center, and all Lowell voters may vote early during the following hours:

  • Saturday, October 25, 9:00AM – 5:00PM
  • Monday, October 27, 9:00AM – 3:00PM
  • Tuesday, October 28, 9:00AM – 8:00PM
  • Wednesday, October 29, 9:00AM – 3:00PM
  • Thursday, October 30, 9:00AM – 3:00PM
  • Friday, October 31, 9:00AM – 3:00PM

Otherwise, voters in Wards 3, 7, and 8 may vote in-person at their normal polling locations from 7:00AM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, September 9, and all polls will be open during the same hours on Tuesday, November 4. Voters are encouraged to check their registration status and can find their Ward and polling location at www.voteinma.com. The deadline for new or updated voter registrations for the Preliminary is Saturday, August 30.

Vote by Mail is also available, and mail-in ballots may be requested now at www.mailmyballotma.com
