Dracut PD Welcomes Four New Officers

DRACUT — Chief Peter Bartlett and the Dracut Police Department have welcomed four new officers.

Dracut Police held a swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, May 7 to welcome Officers Kyle Maxim, Skylar Abbatiello, Cameron Palumbo, and Brian Lamontagne.

Officer Maxim grew up in Dracut and graduated from Norwich University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

Officer Lamontagne grew up in Dracut and continued his education at UMass Lowell where he received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2021.

Officer Abbatiello grew up in Ashfield and moved to Dracut in 2019. He most recently worked as a correctional officer at Essex County Sheriff’s Department.

Officer Palumbo grew up in Dracut and received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from UMass Lowell in 2021.

All four officers are determined to grow their careers at Dracut Police and look forward to this next chapter.

“I would like to congratulate our newest members for their dedication to the Dracut community,” said Chief Bartlett. “Each of them has undergone rigorous training, both academically and practically, to prepare them for the responsibilities they are about to assume. I look forward to watching their continued success in their law enforcement careers.”
