The boys’ and girls’ Track & Field teams at Lowell High School have had a remarkable year, with standout performances during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Along the way, they’ve shattered numerous school records and brought home major titles.

The boys’ team captured the Merrimack Valley Conference (MVC) and Division 1 championships in both seasons—a rare and impressive feat.

The girls’ team also made strong showings at their championship meets, led by a talented group of freshmen who are already making a big impact and setting the foundation for future success.

Now, thanks to their relentless hard work, commitment, and talent, several athletes from both teams have earned the incredible opportunity to compete at the New Balance Outdoor National Championships in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, next week.

Here’s what’s on the schedule:

• The girls’ team will have freshmen competing in six individual events.
• The boys’ team has qualified three relays for the national stage and one individual event.
• In an exciting first for the championship, a mixed-gender relay will also take place—and Lowell will be represented, with two athletes from each team joining forces.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for these student-athletes to test themselves against the very best in the country, and they’ve certainly earned it. But they need our help to make it happen.

The teams are currently raising funds to help cover the cost of transportation, lodging, meals, and meet entry fees. Every donation—no matter the size—will make a difference.
